Kathryn Jensen
Meet Your Therapist
Kathryn earned both her Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Dental Hygiene from St. Petersburg College. She practiced as a clinical dental hygienist before founding Tampa Bay Myo in 2021 to pursue her passion for functional, preventative care. Kathryn has completed advanced training in Orofacial Myology through Neo Health Services, Myo Mentor, and The Breathe Institute, and she remains committed to ongoing education to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Kathryn understands her patients’ struggles on a personal level as she grew up a poster child for myofunctional disorders, including chronic mouth breathing, frequent illness and recurrent sinus infections. In her twenties, she even battled mold in her sinuses, which significantly impacted her breathing and overall health. Completing her own myofunctional therapy was truly life-changing and allows her to approach patient care with both clinical expertise and genuine empathy.
Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Kathryn is proud to serve the community she has always called home. When she's not in the office, you'll likely find her at a Pilates class, baking sourdough, or spending time with her husband and their two dogs, Hank and Benson.
